Press and data
FundBiz publishes guides, lender reviews and data on UK business finance for limited companies. It's run by Best Business Loans Ltd (company 16833937). Our datasets are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a credit to FundBiz, and the two below have DOIs. For data questions or corrections, email [email protected].
Who runs FundBiz
- Company: Best Business Loans Ltd, a private limited company registered in England, number 16833937, incorporated on 5 November 2025. Registered office: Cust Hall, Toppesfield, Halstead, CO9 4EB.
- Director: Oliver Mackman, the company's only officer on Companies House. He reviews FundBiz's content.
- Author: Adam Parker writes and edits the guides, lender reviews and research.
- Sister sites: the same company runs MarketInvoice (invoice finance) and MerchantHQ (card payments).
FundBiz is not a lender and does not arrange finance. If someone sends an enquiry, we pass their details to one business finance broker, which pays us a fixed fee for each enquiry. The person enquiring pays nothing, and FundBiz does not run credit checks. The full detail, including the broker's name, is on how we're funded.

Journalist pack: what the figures count and how to cite them
UK Business Finance Lender Index
Lender-by-lender terms: product type, ticket range, typical rate, decision time and soft search. The page is the live version and has changed since the Zenodo deposit, so cite the date you looked at it. Also available through a free API.

How to credit us
In an article, a credit line and a link to the page you used is enough:
Source: FundBiz, [name of the page or dataset], fundbiz.co.uk
In academic work, cite the DOI. The DOI record gives the reference in the style you need, and each journalist pack has a ready-made one. Our figures are drawn from lenders' own published terms and from public sources such as Companies House and the Bank of England. We don't test lenders by applying, so a lender's decision time or eligibility is as the lender describes it.
More data you can use
- All data pages: lender criteria, personal guarantee requirements, decision time and ticket size by product, filing thresholds and a specialty finance scheme timeline.
- UK business finance statistics: market figures from the Bank of England, British Business Bank and others, each linked to its source.
- State of Alternative Business Finance 2026: an annual snapshot that puts market statistics next to our own lender data.
- Data API: the Lender Index as JSON, free to use.
