Who we are

FundBiz is run by Best Business Loans Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16833937), registered office Cust Hall, Toppesfield, Halstead, Essex CO9 4EB, ICO registration ZC151816. FundBiz is not a lender and is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Best Business Loans Ltd is the data controller for the personal data FundBiz collects. What happens to your enquiry

1. You fill in the enquiry form and press "Send my enquiry".
2. We save your enquiry and email the details you entered to FundingXperts Ltd (company number 13384238, 104 Roebuck Road, Chessington, Surrey KT9 1EU, ICO registration ZB662021), a business finance broker. We also email you a confirmation.
3. FundingXperts contacts you about finance options and may introduce you to lenders. FundingXperts decides how it uses your details as a separate data controller. Read FundingXperts' privacy notice.
4. Any lender makes its own decision. FundingXperts or a lender may run their own checks, which can include a credit search, and should tell you about them.

FundBiz does not run a credit search, does not match, score or rank you against lenders, does not predict whether you will be approved and does not send your details to any lender. We do not make automated decisions about you.

How we are paid: FundingXperts pays Best Business Loans Ltd a fixed fee for each enquiry we pass to them. You pay us nothing. We do not receive commission from lenders.

What we collect

• Your enquiry. Your name, email and phone number; your company name and number (or business postcode); company director names returned by our Companies House lookup; the type and amount of finance you are looking for; your monthly turnover; how long you have been trading; and any notes you add.
• Unfinished forms. If you start the form but do not send it, we keep what you entered in the steps you completed (for example your company name). We use this to understand where people stop, and we do not pass unfinished forms to FundingXperts.
• Technical details sent with the form. Your IP address and the approximate location and network provider Cloudflare derives from it, your device type, the page you came from and the pages that led you to the form.
• Site logs. For visits by automated crawlers we log the IP address; for people we log the page, browser type and approximate location, without the IP address.
• Cookies. See the cookies section below.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Passing your enquiry to FundingXperts and emailing you a confirmation. Legitimate interests: you asked to be put in touch about business finance, and this is how we do that. We do not ask for a consent tick box because this is the service you are asking for.
• Keeping a record of enquiries, including for billing FundingXperts and handling questions or complaints. Legitimate interests.
• Checking for fake or duplicate enquiries (using the technical details above). Legitimate interests.
• Understanding and improving the site, including unfinished forms. Legitimate interests for site logs; consent for analytics cookies.
• Advertising measurement. Consent only (see cookies).

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or pass them to anyone other than FundingXperts and the service providers listed below. You can object to our use of your details at any time by emailing us.

Who receives your details

• FundingXperts Ltd, as described above, for completed enquiries.
• Service providers who process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, security and form handling), Supabase (database), Resend and Brevo (email sending), FormSubmit (backup copy of each enquiry to our own inbox), Google (email inbox; Google Analytics only with your consent), Microsoft Clarity (site analytics, only with your consent), OpenAI (advertising measurement, only with your consent) and Telegram (internal notification of new enquiries to our team).
• Companies House receives the company name or number you search for when you use the company lookup.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the protections set out in their data processing terms, such as a UK adequacy regulation or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. You can ask us for details.

Cookies

Essential browser storage keeps the site and form working and remembers your cookie choice. If you use the Text size: A A A buttons, the text size you pick is remembered in this browser's local storage on this device; it is not a marketing cookie and is not sent to us. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the OpenAI advertising pixel only run their tracking after you accept cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

• Completed enquiries: up to 6 years, for our business and accounting records.
• Unfinished forms: we aim to delete these after 90 days. Automatic deletion is being set up; until it is in place, older unfinished forms may be held longer, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
• Email correspondence: up to 3 years.

FundingXperts keeps the details we send them for as long as its own privacy notice says.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, to stop using it (objection) or to give it to you in a portable format. Email [email protected]. For details already passed to FundingXperts, you can also contact them directly. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
