About FundBiz

FundBiz publishes guides, lender reviews, comparisons and calculators about UK business finance for limited companies, including guides for businesses that have been declined. If you want to talk to someone about your options, you can send an enquiry, which we pass to a business finance broker.

What we do

We help UK limited companies find specialty business finance: merchant cash advance, asset finance, commercial mortgages, bridging loans, VAT funding, R&D advances, and the alternatives that come into play when a mainstream loan is declined. Read how each product works, check the numbers with our calculators, compare lenders in our reviews and, if you want help, send an enquiry.

When you send an enquiry, we pass your details to a business finance broker, who contacts you about your options. The broker pays us a fixed fee for each enquiry. FundBiz does not lend, does not run credit checks and does not send enquiries to lenders.

Who FundBiz is for

UK limited companies, LLPs and partnerships with four or more partners. The enquiry form isn't intended for sole traders or unincorporated businesses. If you are a sole trader, your accountant or an FCA-authorised consumer credit broker is a better place to start.

Our guides mostly cover amounts from £1,000 to £250,000: working capital, growth funding, options after a decline, asset finance and short-term bridging.

What makes us different

  • Guides for declined businesses. What each common decline reason means (CCJ, missed payments, thin file, under 12 months trading, pre-revenue) and what specialist lenders typically look at.
  • Limited-company focus. Our guides are written for incorporated businesses.
  • Sector guides. Hospitality, e-commerce, construction, recruitment and manufacturing each have lenders that specialise, and our sector pages explain who.
  • Plain disclosure. We say exactly where an enquiry goes and how we're paid on How we work. No black-box "100+ lenders" claim.

Who runs it

FundBiz is operated by Best Business Loans Ltd (Companies House number 16833937), founded by Adam Parker and directed by Oliver Mackman. Adam writes the FundBiz library; Oliver is the company's director.

Sister sites: MarketInvoice (invoice finance), MerchantHQ (terminals and merchant accounts).
