Business loan declined by YouLend, what next?

YouLend has declined your revenue-based finance application. YouLend provides revenue-based finance through partners including Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Just Eat and payment providers (per its own site), underwriting against the sales data those platforms hold, so their decline patterns are specific to digital sales flow rather than traditional credit.

Why this triggers a decline

YouLend doesn't publish its minimum thresholds or how often each decline reason occurs. Common reasons include: platform sales too low or too short a selling history on the connected platform, account-health problems on the marketplace (suspensions, poor performance metrics, claims), a very young company, recent unsatisfied CCJs, a sector it doesn't fund, and high refund or chargeback rates.

Alternatives that work

  • 365 Business Finance for card-flow MCA if you have a card terminal, or Capify for a short-term loan
  • Liberis for retail and hospitality card-flow MCA
  • iwoca for working-capital flexi-loan based on bank-statement flow
  • Asset finance against specific equipment

Lenders that may consider this

  • Capify (short-term business loans)
  • 365 Business Finance (card-flow and bank-flow MCA)
  • Liberis (card-flow MCA)
  • iwoca (flexi-loan working capital)
  • Bizcap (specialist post-decline)

What to do first

  1. Request the YouLend decline reason via the platform partner (Amazon Lending, Shopify Capital) or directly.
  2. If the issue is marketplace account health, fix the underlying performance metric (late shipment rate, A-to-Z claims, defect rate) before reapplying.
  3. If the issue is gateway volume, build 60 to 90 days of stronger sales flow before reapplying.
  4. If you also have a card terminal or strong bank flow, look at Capify, 365 or Liberis where the underwriting base is different.
  5. If the issue is a short selling history on the platform, wait until you have a longer sales record and reapply.
